Job Description
- Build scalable infrastructure and ML platform for all of the ML teams at Upwork.
- Senior member of a team of 5 ML engineers to build the next-generation ML infrastructure.
- Work cross-functionally to drive improvements in processes or systems ensuring alignment with key imperatives and core strategies of the Machine Learning Engineering organization
- Work closely with ML Application Teams as users of your platform: Growth, Search, and Trust Safety (TS).
- 6 years of hands-on Machine Learning Engineering experience designing ML-focused platforms and infrastructure that accelerate model development, training, deployment and monitoring.
- Extremely proficient in Scala/Java/Python
- Hands-on experience in Spark, SageMaker and EMR
- Experience with design and development of streaming pipelines.
- Experience with MLOps platforms in AWS
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Experience with databases (SQL, DynamoDB, Redis)
- Experience in ML libraries (pandas, tensorflow, pytorch, etc).
- Experience designing distributed systems for cloud-based microservices architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure)
